SALSA RANCHERA

Makes :
500 ml

Preparation Time :
10 minutes

Cooking Time :
15 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Heat oil in a frying pan, add green pepper, onion, chillies and garlic and cook, stirring, until soft.
  • Add tomatoes, oregano and cumin and simmer to low flame for 10 - 12 minutes or until sauce reduces and thickens. Stir in coriander.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams ripe tomatoes, roasted, peeled, seeded and chopped
  • 50 grams green pepper, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh oregano
  • 1 tablespoon Cooking oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 medium fresh green chillies, seeded and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
