Preparation Method :

  • Knead the meat well in a bowl, then add one of the eggs, the rice, oil, chopped onion and parsley.
  • Season and mix very well with the meat to form a smooth paste.
  • With moistened hands, break off lumps and shape into walnut-sized balls.
  • Place in a frying pan with a cup of water and simmer gently for 30 minutes. Drain and cool.
  • Beat the remaining egg, dip the meat balls in it, then roll them in flour.
  • Fry in the melted butter over a high heat until they are crisp and brown. Serve it warm.


  • 500 grams lean minced beef or lamb
  • 2 eggs
  • 50 grams rice
  • 1 teaspoon Cooking oil
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped parsley
  • Salt and pepper
  • Flour, to coat
  • 100 grams butter
