Cooking Time :
1 hour

Preparation Method :

  • To make the pastry, melt the butter gently and pour into a bowl. Add oil, water and salt and stir well.
  • Add the flour, a tablespoonful at a time, mix it thoroughly, Any lumps will gradually disappear.
  • The consistency is correct when pieces of pastry flake off the sides of the bowl, and you can form a ball of smooth dough in your hands.
  • While you are stuffing the sanbusaks, preheat the oven to 180°C / 350°F / Gas Mark 4.
  • To make a sanbusak, break off a walnut-sized piece of pastry, and roll to a circle of about 7 cm.
  • Put a teaspoon of the filling on one-half of the circle, take care not to over-fill as the mixture expands during the cooking and fold the other half over the filling.
  • Close the sides of the pastry well by crimping with your fingers and thumb. Continue until pastry and filling are used up.
