Preparation Method :

  • Quarter the figs. Soften the membrillo by mashing it in a small bowl if it is very firm.
  • Add the cream cheese and pepper and mix together.
  • Arrange the ham slices on the work surface.
  • Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the centre of each one, spreading it slightly with the back of a spoon.
  • Place a fig quarter across the cream cheese mixture. Fold the ham over the fig quarter to enclose it.
  • Arrange the little parcels on a serving plate and grind over a little extra black pepper.        


  • 5 fresh figs
  • 100 grams membrillo 
  • 100 grams cream cheese
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 20 wafer-thin slices of Serrano ham
