This whole meat fruit quiche is extremely best for all people who are cravings for appetizing recipes. With its combined taste and delicious taste, you will surely love to prepare another batch for your next meal. You can also prepare this dish not only for ordinary meals but special events as well.

Preparation Method :

  • Wash and chop the prunes and place in a bowl with the orange rind and the juice drained from the mandarins. Leave to soak for a few hours.
  • To make the pastry, place the flour in a bowl and rub in the fat until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.
  • Add the water and mix to stiff dough. Turn on to a floured surface and knead until smooth.
  • Roll out to line a 7 inch flan dish. Line with foil and baking beans and bake in a preheated moderately hot oven for 10 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and beans and return to the oven for 5 minutes. Remove from the oven and cool.
  • Drain the prunes and place in the pastry case with the mandarins, reserving a few pieces for decoration.
  • Beat the eggs, yogurt and sugar and pour over the fruit.
  • Bake for 30 to 40 minutes until the pastry is crisp and the filling set.
  • Serve decorated with the remaining mandarins.   



  • 100 grams prunes, stoned 
  • Grated rind of 2 orange
  • 500 grams mandarins in natural juice
  • 4 eggs, beaten 
  • 300 ml plain low-fat yogurt
  • 30 grams light soft brown sugar 


  • 200 grams plain whole meal flour
  • 100 grams margarine 
  • 2 tablespoon water
