Preparation Method :

  • Place potato slices in a gratin dish. Sprinkle with grated lemon zest and half the juice.
  • Adjust seasoning with salt and black pepper. Dot the butter over the surface and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C / 350°F / Gas mark 4 for 15-20 minutes.
  • Drain excess fat from dish and sprinkle with remaining lemon juice. Toss potatoes and bake for about 20-22 minutes or until slightly brown and tender.
  • Transfer to a heated serving dish. Garnish with lemon slices and a little grated lemon zest. Serve immediately.


  • 1 kg Potatoes, peeled and cut into thick slices
  • 50 grams Butter
  • 1 Lemon, grated for zest and squeezed for juice
  • Ground black pepper and Salt to taste    
  • Lemon slices
