POTATO CAKES WITH CORIANDER AND CUMIN

Preparation Method :

  • Place potatoes and onion between sheets of absorbent paper, press paper to remove as much moisture as possible.
  • Combine potatoes, onion, cornmeal, cumin, coriander and egg yolk in bowl; mix well.
  • Heat oil in pan, drop level tablespoons of mixture into pan, flatten into rounds, shallow-fry on both sides until golden brown; drain on absorbent paper.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams old potatoes, peeled, grated
  • 100 grams onion, grated
  • 50 grams cornmeal
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 egg yolk
  • Peanut oil for shallow-frying
