Preparation Method :
- Beat butter, sugar and egg in small bowl until smooth. Stir in golden syrup, malt extract and sifted dry ingredients; mix to a soft dough.
- Knead dough gently on lightly floured surface until smooth, cover; refrigerate 20 - 30 minutes.
- Roll dough between sheets of baking paper. Cut into small rounds using cookie cutter, place on greased oven trays.
- Bake in stow oven about 20 - 22 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on trays.

- 400 grams plain flour
- 150 grams butter
- 100 grams caster sugar
- 2 tablespoons golden syrup
- 2 tablespoons malt extract
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 1 egg
