Preparation Method :

  • Heat little oil in a pan. When hot add in the onions and green chilies. Cook till transparent.
  • Add peas, jeera powder, chilli and salt. Cover and cook until done. Add little water if needed. Remove from heat. Mash roughly.
  • Add grated paneer and mix well. Adjust seasonings.
  • Spread a layer of pea mix on the unbuttered side of 4 slices.
  • Cover with the remaining slices with the buttered side outside. Press firmly. Toast in a sandwich toaster. Serve hot.


  • 1 green chili - deseeded and chopped finely
  • ½ teaspoon roasted jeera powder
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • 50 grams grated paneer
  • 1 onion - chopped finely
  • 8 slices bread - lightly buttered
  • 75 grams peas - shelled
  • Salt to taste
