Preparation Method :

  • Mix the oil, mustard, salt, pepper with garlic cloves and the dried herbs.
  • Spread marinade over the roast beef and let it soak at least for an hour or two.
  • Take the meat out of the marinade, thread it onto a skewer and grill it for about 8 - 10 minutes.
  • Then increase the distance away from the fire and grill it for another 15 - 20 minutes.
  • Grease a sufficiently large piece of aluminium foil with butter and put the onion rings onto it.
  • Close the aluminium foil tightly and cook the onions on the grill for about 8 - 10 minutes.
  • Take the roast beef off the skewer and let it stand for about 5 minutes. Then carve it into slices and arrange it on the plate with the onions.
  • Garnish with remoulade and serve.


  • 1 kg roast beef, washed and dried
  • 250 grams red onions, peeled and sliced
  • 100 grams remoulade sauce
  • 50 ml Sesame oil
  • 50 grams mustard
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic, peeled and finely pressed
  • 1 teaspoon dried mixed herbs
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • Salt, to taste
