PEARS, POACHED IN RED WINE

Preparation Method :

  • Pour the wine into a saucepan and bring it to the boil together with the sugar, pepper, bay leaf and the lemon peel.
  • Put the pears into the wine and let the whole thing simmer for about 10-12 minutes.
  • Take the saucepan off the stove and let the pears to cool down.
  • Whip the cream, put a little sugar into it and then carefully fold the cranberries into the whipped cream.
  • Arrange the pears, garnish with the cranberries and serve as a side dish.

INGREDIENTS

  • 250 ml red wine
  • 300 grams pears, peeled without cutting of the stalks
  • 150 grams sweet cream
  • 50 grams sugar
  • 1 tablespoon black peppercorns
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Peel from 1 untreated lemon
  • 1 tablespoon cranberries
