Preparation Method :

  • Place the pepper on a baking tray with the skin side up and bake it in a preheated oven at 230 °C / 450 °F / Gas mark 7 for about 10 - 15 minutes.
  • Allow it to cool and peel of the skin.
  • Mince the lamb meat together with one clove of garlic, the onion, the red pepper and the roll.
  • Mix the meat mixture with the egg and the spices, shape into 8 rolls and place them lengthways on skewers.
  • Grill for about 10 - 12 minutes turning frequently.
  • The Sauce: Press the remaining garlic with salt and mix with the yogurt.
  • Then add the herbs. Spice the garlic sauce with salt and serve with the skewers.


  • 550 grams lamb meat from the loin, washed, dried and cut into large cubes
  • 400 grams yogurt
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic, peeled
  • 1 onion, peeled and coarsely chopped
  • 1 soft roll
  • 1 red pepper, halved, deseeded
  • Paprika powder
  • 1 tablespoon chopped, mixed herbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 pinch chilli powder
  • Salt, to taste
