Preparation Method :

  • Sprinkle the cheese cubes with pepper and mix with the herbs.
  • Lay out 5 vine leaves on the worktop so that the edges overlap.
  • Put the cubes of cheese into the middle of the vine leaves and fold the leaves together over them.
  • Grease 4 large pieces of aluminium foil with oil and wrap up the stuffed vine leaves in them.
  • Lay the packages in the embers for about 10-12 minutes.
  • Remove the aluminium foil, cut open the vine leaves and serve with the baguette.


  • 500 grams Gruyere cheese, cut into large cubes
  • 2 tablespoon chopped herbs
  • 20 pickled vine leaves, rinse and dried
  • Sesame oil for greasing
  • Pepper and salt, to taste
  • Baguette (bread)
