VEGETABLE POT

Preparation Method :

  • Fry the onions in the heated oil until they are a light yellow colour.
  • Add the garlic clove and the chervils with sliced lemon, raisins, white wine, vinegar, bay leaf, sugar, salt and peppercorns to the onions.
  • Simmer for about 20-22 minutes.
  • Take out the onions and the lemon slices and put them into a bowl. Let the decoction boil down by half.
  • Pour the decoction over the onions and lemon slices.
  • Let the whole thing cool down, arrange, garnish and serve.

INGREDIENTS

  • 750 ml brandy vinegar
  • 250 grams gherkins, washed and dried
  • 300 grams sugar
  • 100 grams pearl onions, peeled
  • 2 teaspoon grated horseradish
  • 2 each of green, red and yellow peppers, washed and cut into pieces
  • 1 small cauliflower, washed, cut into florets
  • 2 tablespoon black peppercorns
  • 1 piece of ginger, peeled and cut into pieces
  • 1 tablespoon mustard seeds
  • 2-3 bay leaves
  • 1 tablespoon pimento seeds
  • 3 cloves
  • Salt, to taste
  • Herbs for garnishing
