Preparation Method :

  • Combine the coffee, sugar, and half a cup of water in the ibrik or small saucepan and mix well with a spoon to break up any lumps. Add the remaining water.
  • Bring to a gentle boil over low heat.
  • Remove from the heat, mix well, and return to low heat until boiling once more.
  • Remove from the heat, pour into small cups.
  • Serve immediately.


  • 4 tablespoons finely ground dark coffee
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 400 ml water
