MEXICAN COFFEE

Preparation Time :

Preparation Method :

  • Combine the coffee, cinnamon, and water in a small saucepan and bring to a boil over low heat. Remove from the heat and set aside.
  • Whip the cream, sugar, and vanilla until the mixture forms stiff peaks.
  • In a separate small saucepan, heat the milk and brown sugar over low heat, until the sugar has dissolved.
  • Add the chocolate and heat, stirring, until the chocolate is melted.
  • Pour the chocolate mixture into the coffee and mix well.
  • Pour into individual cups.
  • Add 2 tablespoons of whipped cream to each cup.
  • Serve immediately.

INGREDIENTS

  • 150 grams finely ground coffee 
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1.25 litre water
  • 100 ml sweet cream
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 200 ml milk
  • 3 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 100 grams fine bittersweet chocolate
