This flapjack ginger cheesecake is loaded with effective and palatable ingredients like margarine, golden syrup, porridge oats and other flavourings. You can also put some toppings to fully enhance its enticing appearances. This recipe is extremely delicious that is best for all health conscious.

Preparation Method :

  • Preheat the oven to moderately hot.
  • Place the margarine, sugar and syrup in a pan and heat until melted. Stir in the oats and ginger, and then mix well.
  • Press into the base of a greased 8 inch loose-bottomed cake tin. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes, remove and allow to cool. Reduce the oven temperature.
  • To make the filling, blend together the cheese, yogurt and egg yolks. Stir in the ginger and syrup, and then mix well.
  • Whisk the egg whites until stiff and fold into the mixture. Spoon over the flapjack base and bake in the oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until the topping is set and golden.
  • Remove from the oven and leave to cool in the tin. Transfer to a serving plate and chill before serving.
  • Decorate with Quark and ginger pieces.



  • 150 grams margarine 
  • 100 grams soft brown sugar 
  • 2 tablespoon golden syrup 
  • 300 grams porridge oats
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger


  • 500 grams low-fat soft cheese
  • 4 tablespoons plain low-fat yogurt 
  • 4 eggs, separated 
  • 6 pieces stem ginger, chopped 
  • 4 tablespoons syrup from the jar


  • 100 ml Quark 
  • Stem ginger pieces
