Preparation Method :

  • Grease and dust a 8" x 3" cake tin. Preheat oven to 150°C/ 300°F.
  • In a medium sized pan, beat butter and sugar very well.
  • Then add in the eggs and vanilla essence and mix well.
  • Combine cocoa, flour and baking powder and sieve them together. Add to the egg mixture slowly and mix.
  • Add 2 tablespoon of curd and half of the walnuts. Mix well.
  • Transfer to the cake tin. Sprinkle the left over walnuts and bake in preheated oven at 150°C/300°F for 30 minutes.
  • When done remove from the oven, cool for 10 minutes and remove from the cake tin.
  • Sieve icing sugar on top and cut into squares and serve.


  • 75 grams unsalted butter
  • 100 grams powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 50 grams flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder 
  • 100 grams cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoon curd
  • 2 large eggs
  • 75 grams walnuts - finely chopped 
  • 2 tablespoon icing sugar - to dust

    hi i wanted to know how do you preheat a oven for say 150c i have an oven but there is convection mode and all menu are there for different food eg: for heating press 1 for grilling press 2 so how can i preheat teh oven..pls explain
