A cold and sweet cake made just for you. It makes use of crushed Marie biscuits layered with some melted chocolates. You will love this cold and sweet appetizer for its great chocolate flavour. This is a great dessert after a sumptuous meal.
Serves :

Preparation Time :
3 hours 20 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Brush a loaf tin with oil.
  • Mix together the sugar, butter, syrup and chocolate. Add the crushed biscuits and mix well. Pack into the tin and chill for atleast 3 hours. Loosen the edges and turn out.
  • If you like, coat the cake with orange or lemon glace icing and coarsely grated chocolate.
  • Mix enough juice in the icing sugar to give a coating consistency. Pour on top of the cake and let it trickle down the sides. Sprinkle with chocolate. Cut when the icing has set.


  • 200 grams Marie Biscuits, crushed
  • 30 grams Icing Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Golden syrup or Caramel
  • 100 grams Melted butter
  • 120 grams Melted chocolate

Orange Glace Icing

  • 8 tablespoon icing sugar
  • 4 tablespoon orange juice
  • Orange food colouring
