Preparation Method :

  • Cream sugar and butter together in a bowl until smooth.
  • Combine flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in separate bowl and add it to the sugar-butter mixture.
  • Beat eggs and vanilla in a large bowl until pale and thick. Add this to the above flour mixture and beat it well to incorporate all the ingredients well.
  • Now pour this batter evenly between two greased baking dishes. Level the top by tapping it at the bottom.
  • Bake it at 180°C for about 25 minutes or Bake until the knife inserted in centre of each comes out clean.
  • Cool it on a wire-rack for at least 10 minutes.
  • Meanwhile prepare the filling, melt dark and white chocolate separately in a double boiler.
  • Beat the cream and add butter and cocoa powder. Finally add the white melted chocolate and half the quantity of dark melted chocolate. Blend it well.
  • Cut both the cake horizontally into 2 layers. Spread the filling mixture evenly between each of the 4 tier cake.
  • Pour the remaining melted chocolate on top.
  • Make the icing by mixing butter and icing sugar , Decorate the cake with rose petals and serve it.


  • 200 grams confectioner's sugar
  • 150 grams unsalted butter
  • 150 grams self raising flour (sifted)
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • Pinch of Salt

  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla essence


  • 150 grams plain chocolate bar (broken into chunks)
  • 100 ml double cream
  • 75grams white chocolate bar (broken into chunks)
  • 1teaspoon cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon butter


  • 100 grams butter
  • 200 grams icing sugar
