Preparation Method :

  • Melt white chocolate chips in a double boiler , then cool it
  • Mix flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt in a bowl
  • Whisk butter and sugar until creamy. Add the eggs and beat it well (add one egg at a time)
  • Stir in the flour mixture and butter milk alternately.
  • Finally add the melted chocolate. Mix it well
  • Pour the batter into two round greased baking dishes and bake it at 175 oC for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the centre of the cake comes out clean.
  • After baking cool the cake for at least 10 - 15 minutes.
  • Prepare the icing by melting white chocolate in a double boiler
  • Heat the cream in a saucepan ,but do not boil . Add it to the melted white chocolate
  • Now add the sugar and vanilla essence. Mix gently until smooth and glossy
  • Spread the icing on a cake and place the other cake on top it.
  • Evenly spread the icing on top and sides of the cake .
  • Decorate with any preferred fruits or chocolate curls .


  • 150 grams all-purpose flour
  • 115 grams butter
  • 100 grams sugar
  • 120 ml buttermilk
  • 50 grams white chocolate chips
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Water for melting chocolate

Icing / frosting

  • 100 ml double cream
  • 100 grams white chocolate chips
  • 50 grams sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
