Preparation Method :

  • Preheat the oven.
  • In a bowl, add wheat flour, rawa, milk powder, castor sugar, ghee and mix well.
  • Now add cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, vanilla essence, walnuts and mix it gently by slowly adding milk to it.
  • Grease the pan with ghee and dust the flour.
  • Pour the prepared batter and bake in the oven at 180 C /350 F for about 30 to 40 minutes or cook it in a gas oven for 40 to 50 min in low flame.
  • Allow to cool completely on a rack, then un-mould it.
  • Melt the dark chocolate on a double boiler and spread on top of the cake as an icing. Cool it till the chocolate is set and serve.


  • 400 grams Wheat Flour, sieved
  • 100 grams Fine Rawa(Semolina) 
  • 200 grams Milk Powder
  • 200 ml Ghee
  • 300 grams Castor Sugar
  • 400 ml Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Cocoa Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Essence
  • 150 grams Walnuts, cut medium sized
  • 50 grams dark chocolate
