Preparation Method :

  • Peel the mangoes and puree without adding water to it and it keep aside.
  • Sift the flours with the salt, baking soda and powder.
  • Beat the softened butter with the sugar till light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time followed by the essence.
  • Add the flour gradually alternating with the milk till just combined.
  • Mash the banana. Fold in the pureed mangoes and the mashed banana gently.
  • Bake in a floured and buttered round pan at 160°C/ 325°C for about an hour or till the toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack.


  • 100 grams butter softened
  • 275 grams castor sugar
  • 150 grams refined flour
  • 3 tablespoon wheat flour
  • 50 ml milk
  • 1 teaspoon mixed fruit essence  
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 eggs
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 ripe mangoes
  • 1 banana
