Preparation Method :

  • Cook the noodles in a pan of boiling salted water until tender, according to the packet instructions, and then drain well.
  • Meanwhile, melt half the margarine in a pan. Add the onion and fry until golden, about 10 minutes.
  • Place the remaining margarine, flour and milk in a pan and heat, whisking constantly, until the sauce thickens.
  • Stir in the noodles, onion, tomato puree, hazelnuts, cottage cheese, and salt and pepper to taste, blending well.
  • Spoon into a greased ovenproof dish and sprinkle with the grated cheese.
  • Cook in a preheated moderately hot oven until golden.
  • Serve immediately.


  • 500 grams ribbon noodles
  • 100 grams margarine
  • 2 onion, peeled and chopped
  • 50 grams plain unbleached white flour
  • 500 ml skimmed milk
  • 4 tablespoons tomato puree
  • 100 grams hazelnuts, roughly chopped
  • 500 grams cottage cheese
  • Salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 100 grams low-fat cheese, grated
  • To garnish:
  • 2 tomato, sliced
  • Parsley sprigs
