CHICKEN EMBASSY

Preparation Method :

  • Pressure cook chicken pieces with 2 cups of water and salt to give 2 whistles. Remove from fire.Check to see if the chicken is absolutely tender and soft.
  • Remove the chicken pieces from the stock and keep aside. Reserve the stock and mix with the milk.
  • Heat butter in heavy bottomed pan. Add onions, garlic, ginger, green chilies. Cook till onions turn transparent.
  • Reduce heat. Add maida. Cook for 20 -30 seconds on low heat.
  • Add the milk and stock mixture to the maida, stirring continuously until the sauce thickens.
  • Now add cooked chicken, tomatoes, pepper and salt. Simmer for a minute.
  • Add tomato ketchup and chopped coriander. Serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 750 grams chicken - cut into 12 pieces
  • 30 grams butter
  • 2 onions - chopped finely
  • 10 garlic flakes - crushed and chopped
  • 1" piece ginger - chopped finely
  • 2 green chilies - chopped finely
  • 25 grams maida (plain flour)
  • 400 ml milk
  • 350 ml chicken stock
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 big tomato - chopped finely
  • 50 ml tomato ketchup
  • 50 grams chopped coriander
