Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil in a non-stick pan, add the onion and sauté for about 3-4 minutes or until brown.
  • Add the ginger and garlic paste and cook for about half a minute. Add the turmeric, chilli, coriander powder and a splash of water. Cook for a minute or two.
  • Adjust seasoning with chilli and salt to taste.
  • Add the chicken and brown for about 2 minutes. Stir in the yogurt and simmer for about 5 minutes or until the chicken is tender.
  • Add little hot water if needed. When the chicken is done toss in the gravy for 3-5 minutes or until the amount of liquid in the pan in reduced.
  • Stir in the garam masala with mint and coriander leaves. Serve hot.


  • 100 grams chicken breast, skinned, trimmed and cubed
  • 2 tablespoon low-fat yogurt, beaten
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ginger and garlic pastes
  • 2 teaspoon IDHAYAM Sesame oil
  • ½ teaspoon coriander powder
  • A pinch of turmeric
  • Red chilli powder, to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ teaspoon garam masala
  • 2 tablespoon, chopped fresh mint and coriander
