INDIAN CHICKEN

Indian Chicken is such a refreshing food that may impress you! If you pine for other menu, you may include Indian Chicken to your recipe book. In a way, you can just prepare it so whenever you need it. Some of its ingredients include peanut oil, turmeric, coriander, cinnamon, peppercorns, chicken thighs and desiccated coconut!

Cooking Time :
30 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil in a large frying pan (skillet), add the onions and cook gently until golden.
  • Add the green peppercorns, cook for 1 minute, and then stir in the ginger and spices.
  • Add the chicken pieces and cook for about 10 minutes until brown all over.
  • Blend the corn flour (cornstarch) with the chicken stock, pour into the pan and cook, stirring, until it boils and thickens.
  • Simmer for 5 minutes. Add the apple, cover and simmer for another 10 minutes.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Serve the Indian Chicken with plain boiled rice. 

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 tablespoons IDHAYAM MANTRA peanut oil 
  • 4 onions, finely chopped 
  • 2 tablespoon canned green peppercorns, drained and chopped
  • 1 inch piece fresh root ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric 
  • 1 teaspoon ground mace 
  • ½ teaspoon ground coriander 
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 4 small chicken thighs, halved
  • 2 teaspoon corn flour
  • 500 ml chicken stock
  • 2 apple, peeled, cored and diced 
  • Coriander Leaves for garnishing
