Preparation Method :

  • Heat the saucepan, add the sugar in it and melt, when it turns golden brown pour the boiled water then remove from fire and allow it to cool.
  • Stir frequently, Don't allow it to become thick.
  • Pour the caramelized sugar little by little in to the egg yolk; add in the salt.
  • Double boil and make it thick. Then add the melted china grass, stir well and remove from fire.
  • Keep the pudding in fridge and allow it to set.


  • 500 grams Sugar
  • 200 ml boiled water
  • 4 eggs Yolk, beaten
  • ΒΌ teaspoon salt
  • 10 grams china grass, cut into small pieces and soaked for about an hour
  • 400 ml water
