Preparation Method :

  • Grind the mustard seeds together with the peppercorns and the allspice seeds . Mix with the brown sugar.
  • Boil the vinegar and slowly stir in the sugar mixture and spice the mixture with salt, allow it to cool down.
  • Stir the yogurt until it is smooth and then fold it with the herbs into the mustard. Spice the dip with cloves and powdered ginger.


  • 150 grams brown sugar
  • 250 ml wine vinegar
  • 150 grams yellow mustard seeds
  • 3 tablespoon black peppercorns
  • ½ teaspoon pimento seeds
  • 1 bunch of mixed herbs, washed, dried and finely chopped
  • 200 grams yogurt
  • 1 pinch of ground cloves
  • ½ teaspoon powdered ginger
  • Salt, to taste
