Preparation Method :

  • Mix the shoyu, hondashi, brown sugar and stir to blend together the contents.
  • Simmer over medium heat, stir until the sugar dissolves and bring to a boil and remove from heat.
  • Allow to cool and the mixture can be kept refrigerated for approximately one week.
  • Serve with tempura dipping sauce.


  • 200 ml shoyu sauce
  • 1 teaspoon hondashi
  • 4 teaspoons brown sugar
