Preparation Method :

  • Blanch the spinach in boiling hot water for 30 seconds.
  • Drain and immediately rinse spinach in ice- cold water.
  • Squeeze the spinach dry and chop small.
  • Heat oil, add onions and saute till it starts to brown.
  • Add coriander, cumin and chilli powders, and saute for another minute.
  • Remove and transfer to bowl.
  • To the hung yogurt, add the spinach and the onion mixture and salt.
  • Serve with crackers or fresh cut veggies. 


  • 200 ml hung yogurt
  • 200 grams pressed spinach
  • 2 tablespoon chopped onions
  • ¼ teaspoon coriander powder
  • ¼ teaspoon cumin powder
  • Chilli powder to taste
  • 1 tablespoon IDHAYAM sesame oil
  • Salt to taste
