The asparagus with orange essence and almonds deeply mark to all grilled food cravers. This perfect dish is extremely best not only for daily servings but other gatherings as well. The orange essence and almonds makes the dish lip smacking and tempting.
Serves :

Preparation Time :
30 minutes

Cooking Time :
15 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Snap off the ends of the asparagus by gently bend each stalk. Soak the stalks in cold water for at least 15- 20 minutes to loosen any dirt and refresh them.
  • Peel the bottom 2 inches of the stalks with a sharp vegetable peeler. Pat dry and place on a cutting board.
  • Preheat a grill pan over medium heat until very hot. Brush the asparagus with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  • Acid to the pan and cook for 5 minutes, shake the pan frequently to rotate the spears.
  • Sprinkle the orange zest over the top and cook for further 2-3 minutes, continue shaking the pan.
  • Transfer to warm plates, sprinkle the ground almonds over the top, and serve immediately.


  • 1 pound jumbo asparagus
  • 1 tablespoon light olive oil 
  • Salt to taste , freshly ground pepper (ΒΌ teaspoon)
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1 tablespoon ground almonds
