Preparation Method :

  • In a double boiler, add in the thick cream, castor sugar and grated orange rind and cook over simmering water till sugar is dissolved. Remove and cool.
  • Add juice of oranges to cooled cream and mix well.
  • Fold into whipped cream.
  • Put in ice cream container and freeze for about an hour or till its half frozen. Remove and whip it well.
  • Fold it back in the ice cream container, cover and freeze till it is completely set. 15 - 20 minutes before serving, remove from the freezer to soften.
  • Scoop out into a large dish and serve.


  • Fresh Juice of 10 - 12 oranges
  • 220 ml thick cream
  • 75 grams caster sugar
  • 2 teaspoon grated orange rind
  • 220 ml cream, whipped to soft peaks
