Beef Seville will boost your appetite after you have tasted it. The taste of orange and the juicy taste of baked beef combined are just wonderful. Adding this to your menu will certainly make an appeal on the table for dinner.

Preparation Time :

Cooking Time :
1 hour 30 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Melt the butter in a pan with the oil and sauté the onion and carrots for 5 minutes.
  • Add the meat and fry, turning frequently, until evenly browned Sprinkle in the flour and continue to cook for 1 minute.
  • Transfer the meat and vegetables to a 900 ml casserole dish.
  • Stir in the orange rind and juice, stock and orange squash (drink). Add plenty of salt and pepper to taste and the apricots.
  • Cover and cook in a preheated moderate oven (160°C/325°F, Gas Mark 3) for 1 to 1 ½ hours.
  • Garnish with watercress and serve with long macaroni. 


  • 50 grams butter
  • 2 tablespoon Cooking oil
  • 2 onion, sliced
  • 4 carrots, sliced
  • 1 kg chuck steak, cubed
  • 3 tablespoons plain flour 
  • Grated rind and juice of 1 orange 
  • 500 ml beef stock
  • 4 tablespoons orange squash 
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper
  • 100 grams dried apricots watercress to garnish
