Preparation Method :

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C/gas 4). Stir together the beef, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper in a Dutch oven or casserole dish. Add the potatoes, onions, carrot, mushrooms, and peas.
  • Combine the flour in a small bowl with the milk and stir until smooth. Pour the milk mixture and Worcestershire sauce in over the top and mix gently.
  • Bake until the meat and potatoes are tender, 45 minutes. Stir several times during cooking. Serve hot.


  • 1 kg lean ground (minced) beef
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely sliced
  • 2 tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground white pepper
  • 1 kg potatoes, cut in small cubes
  • 4 large onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 large carrot, diced
  • 500 grams white mushrooms, thinly sliced
  • 300 grams frozen peas
  • 5 tablespoons all-purpose (plain) flour
  • 150 ml milk
  • 2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
