SLICED BEEF AND BAMBOO SHOOTS

The SLICED BEEF AND BAMBOO SHOOTS are one of the most preferred dishes nowadays. The fact that it is very easy to prepare and serve, the quality of the food is also amazing. It is really a great recipe and perfect for your meal.

Preparation Method :

  • Using a fork, combine the sherry, 4 teaspoons of the soy sauce, the egg white and corn flour (cornstarch) in a bowl. Add the beef and toss to coat thoroughly.
  • Heat the oil in a heavy-based frying pan or wok. Add the beef and stir-fry until just brown.
  • Add the bamboo shoots and mushrooms and stir-fry for a few seconds.
  • Stir in the remaining soy sauce, the salt and pepper to taste and cook for 1 minute.
  • Transfer to a serving dish.
  • Garnish with the shredded spring onion .

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 teaspoons dry sherry 
  • 10 teaspoons soy sauce 
  • 2 egg white 
  • 2 tablespoon corn flour 
  • 500 grams beef (rump or topside), thinly sliced and cut into bite- sized pieces 
  • 8 tablespoons Cooking oil
  • 200 grams canned bamboo shoots, drained and thinly sliced
  • 8 large dried Chinese mushrooms, soaked for 20 minutes, drained, stemmed and quartered
  • 1 teaspoon salt 
  • Freshly ground pepper 
  • 2 spring onion, shredded
