Preparation Method :

  • Grill chops under a preheated hot grill for about 3- 5 minutes on each side, until the meat turns brown but pink in the centre.
  • Lightly fry bread with little olive oil in a frying pan until golden brown, drain and keep it aside.
  • Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in pan, add onion, garlic and parsley and fry until onion is golden brown.
  • Add water and wine, adjust seasoning with salt and black pepper to taste. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
  • Place a lamb chop on top of each croute, spoon over sauce and sprinkle with some chopped parsley and serve.


  • 250 ml dry white wine
  • 4 thick lamb loin or chump chops
  • 4 thick slices of bread
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 3 tablespoon hot water
  • 50 ml olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • Freshly ground black pepper and Salt
