Preparation Method :

  • Rub all over the chops with the ginger- garlic mixture.
  • Bring the water to a boil, add the chops and spice mixture and cook for about 30-45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove from the heat and set aside to cool. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  • Heat the oil in a large saucepan.
  • Dip each lamb chop into the beaten egg and then fry them in the saucepan for about 3-5 minutes, turning once.
  • Transfer the chops to a large serving dish and garnish with fried potato chips, tomatoes and lemon wedges.
  • Serve hot.


  • 1 kg lamb chops, trim away any excess fat
  • Salt, to taste
  • 750 ml water
  • 2 medium eggs, beaten
  • 250 ml Cooking oil
  • Fried potato chips, tomatoes and lemon wedges to garnish

Mix together - Marinade

  • 1½ inch fresh ginger root, finely chopped
  • 4-6 fresh garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon black cumin seeds
