Beef jambalaya with prawns and smoked oysters – great combinations with alluring fragrances! It is mix with excellent ingredients that can alter your daily meal. This dish has perfect ingredients like beef dripping, beef stock, king prawns, mushroom, fresh parsley and a lot more.

Preparation Method :

  • Heat the dripping in a very large saucepan or a deep frying pan with a tight-fitting lid.
  • Fry the onions, smoked sausage and steak atleast for 5 minutes, then sprinkle with seasoned flour.
  • Add tomatoes and rice and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Add the rest of the ingredients to the sliced red and green peppers.
  • Simmer it for 12 minutes, then add the rest of the ingredients except the parsley and sliced lime, blend them thoroughly.
  • Place the lid on the pan and cook for further 5 minutes, until the rice is completely cooked but not mushy.
  • Place the Beef Jambalaya in a serving dish, sprinkle with fresh parsley and garnish with slices of lime, then serve.


  • 25 grams beef dripping
  • 2 onions, peeled and chopped
  • 250 grams spicy smoked sausage, thinly sliced
  • 450 grams sirloin steak, cut into thin strips and fat removed
  • 1 tablespoon seasoned flour
  • 4 tomatoes, skinned, de-seeded and chopped
  • 250 grams uncooked rice
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
  • 450 ml Basic Beef Stock
  • 1 tablespoon tomato puree
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • A pinch of rose-mary, thyme, paprika, crushed fennel seeds, basil, oregano and saffron
  • Juice and zest of 1 lime
  • 1 large green and 1 red pepper, deseeded and thinly sliced
  • 100 grams mushrooms, wiped and sliced
  • 450 grams king prawns, peeled
  • 12 smoked oysters and their juice
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • A large bunch of fresh parsley, washed and chopped
  • 1 lime, sliced
