CHILI CON CARNE

Does anyone of you want a chilli recipe? Do you want to cook it for your family members or a friend who loves a very extra ordinary chilli dish? Here is some of information on how to prepare, cook, and serve.

Preparation Time :
30 minutes

Cooking Time :
1 hour 40 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Put the beef, onion, garlic, chili powder, tomato puree and water in a casserole and bring to the boil.
  • Cover and simmer gently for 1 ½ hours, skimming the tat oft occasionally.
  • Add the red kidney beans, salt and pepper and simmer for a further 10 minutes. Skim off the fat with a spoon.
  • Serve at once with brown rice.

INGREDIENTS

  • 750 grams lean minced beef
  • 100 grams onion, peeled and sliced
  • 2 clove garlic, peeled and crushed
  • 4 teaspoons chili powder
  • 4 tablespoons tomato puree
  • 500 ml water
  • 500 grams red kidney beans, drained
  • Salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
