Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil, fry the meat for about 5-7 minutes or until it is evenly cooked on all sides.
  • Heat the remaining oil in a saucé pan and fry the onions until soft.
  • Add the mushrooms and pepper to the pan and cook for about 3-5 minutes.
  • Return the meat to the pan, season well, stir in the cream and blend well.
  • Heat until piping hot but do not allow to boil. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.


  • 550 grams fillet or good rump steak, cut into thick strips
  • 150 ml crème fraîche or soured cream
  • 3 onions, finely chopped
  • 2 cups mushrooms, thinly sliced
  • 1 green pepper, cored, deseeded and cut into fine strips
  • 50 ml IDHAYAM sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley, to garnish
