Preparation Method :

  • Heat oil in a large saucepan; when hot add the onions, stir, over medium heat for about 3-5 minutes or until onions are soft.
  • Stir in the garam masala with saffron, turmeric, ginger and chilli; cook further one more minute.
  • Stir in steak, cook over high heat, until steak is well browned all over.
  • Stir in milk, honey and stock, bring to a boil.
  • Simmer to low flame, cook, covered for about 20-30 minutes or until steak is tender, stirring occasionally.
  • Stir in cream and almonds, cook until mixture is heated through.


  • 2 kg rump steak, cut into strips.
  • 220 grams brown onions, sliced
  • 150 ml chicken stock
  • 150 ml cream
  • 75 ml milk
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1½ teaspoons garam masala
  • ½ teaspoon saffron powder
  • ½ teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 50 ml peanut oil
  • 2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • ½ teaspoon chilli powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons ground almonds
