When it comes to frying, quick-fried beef in oyster sauce is one of the easiest recipes to do. The preparation is not hard and it will only take a few minutes to cook the food. It comes with a perfect match which is the oyster sauce.

40 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Slice the carrots and celery stalks diagonally.
  • Heat the oil in a wok or frying pan, add the spring onions and garlic and fry quickly for about 30 seconds.
  • Add the carrots and celery and stir-fry for 1 minute.
  • Cut the steak into thin slices and sprinkle with salt. Add to the pan and fry until browned on all sides.
  • Stir in the bean-sprouts, soy sauce, sherry and oyster sauce and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Spoon the mixture on to a serving dish.
  • Garnish with the carrot flower and celery leaves. 


  • 8 carrots, peeled
  • 4 celery stalks
  • 4 tablespoons Cooking oil
  • 8 spring onions, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, peeled and sliced
  • 750 grams rump or sirloin steak, trimmed of fat
  • Salt
  • 200 grams bean-sprouts
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 4 tablespoons dry sherry
  • 6 tablespoons oyster sauce


  • Carrot flower
  • Celery leaves
