The ribs of Scottish beef with garlic sauce – excellent meat dish for all! This dish is made up of Aberdeen Angus ribs, honey, sherry, sweet cider and other flavorings. With its garlic sauce, the dish appears more delicious and palatable that is best for both lunch and dinner.

45 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Combine all the marinade ingredients together in a non-metallic container, except the corn flour paste and soured cream or yoghurt.
  • Add the ribs, mix well and let them marinate for atleast a 1 day.
  • Remove the ribs from the marinade, place the ribs on the barbecue and then cook for 5 minutes on each side.
  • Pour the marinade into saucepan, boil and simmer it for 4 minutes.
  • Add the corn flour paste and soured cream, and simmer for a further 3 minutes to make a thick creamy Garlic Sauce and serve it with the ribs.


  • 1.5 kg Aberdeen Angus ribs, cut into 7.5 cm lengths

For the marinade

  • 3 tablespoons crushed garlic
  • 120 ml soy sauce
  • 120ml sweet cider
  • 5 tablespoons finely chopped spring onions
  • 1 teaspoon fennel seeds, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon tomato puree
  • 2 tablespoons clear honey freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon corn flour, mixed with
  • 2 tablespoons dry sherry 5 tablespoons soured cream or plain yoghurt
