BEEF & APPLE MEATBALLS

Preparation Method :

  • Put the apples in a medium bowl with the beef, eggs, Parmesan, garlic, salt, and pepper and mix well. Form tablespoons of the mixture into oblong croquettes and dredge in the flour.
  • Heat the butter in a large frying pan over medium-high heat and fry the croquettes until golden brown all over, 10 minutes.
  • Heat the wine in a small saucepan over low heat. Add the sugar and stir until dissolved. Drizzle spoonfuls of the wine mixture over the croquettes.
  • Simmer until reduced a little. Serve hot or at room temperature.

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 medium apples, grated
  • 750 grams finely ground (minced) lean beef
  • 4 large eggs, beaten
  • 100 grams freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 750 grams all-purpose (plain) flour
  • 150 grams butter
  • 100 ml dry white wine
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
