Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil in a pan; saute the onion till golden. Add the ginger and garlic, saute for 1 minute.
  • Add the minced meat fry on high heat for 5 minutes.
  • Add the tomato ,Chopped Green chillies,coriander leaves,cumin powder,Red chill powder,black pepper powder and salt stir-fry.
  • Add 1 cup of hot water, bring to the boil, lower heat, and simmer covered for 10-15 minutes till done. Add vinegar and cook, uncovered, till dry.
  • Take 2" diameter balls of mashed potato seasoned with salt, hollow out and stuff with a little mince. Pinch together to seal.
  • Pat into rounds, dip in egg, roll in breadcrumbs and shallow-fry till golden.


  • 500 grams Lamb or beef minced
  • 50 ml IDHAYAM MANTRA Peanut oil
  • 3 Onions, medium, chopped
  • 3 teaspoon Ginger minced
  • 12 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 large Tomato chopped
  • 3 Green chillies, minced
  • 3 tablespoons fresh Green coriander leaves chopped
  • 2 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • ½ teaspoon Black pepper powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Vinegar
  • 750 grams Medium sized Potatoes boiled and mashed
  • 2 Eggs, beaten
  • 100 grams approx. Breadcrumbs
