BEEF WITH NOODLES

Want noodles with beef of extraordinary taste? This beef with noodles cooked with sherry, soy sauce, corn flour, sugar, garlic, ginger and Tabasco sauce might please you. Adding noodles to the dish will make you feel you’re eating a Japanese dish.

15 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil in a wok or heavy frying pan. Add the beef and stir-fry until the meat is brown, breaking up any lumps.
  • Add the sherry, soy sauce, corn flour (cornstarch), sugar, garlic, ginger and Tabasco (hot pepper) sauce.
  • Stir for a minute so everything is well blended, then add the water. Stir again, taste the gravy, and add salt to taste if necessary.
  • Meanwhile cook the noodles in boiling salted water for 5 minutes, then drain and arrange on a heated serving plate.
  • Pour over the meat mixture.

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 tablespoons Cooking oil
  • 700 grams lean minced beef 
  • 4 tablespoons dry sherry
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoon corn flour 
  • 2 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 clove garlic, crushed
  • 4 slices fresh root ginger, chopped
  • 4 teaspoons Tabasco sauce
  • 250 ml water
  • Salt
  • 100 grams egg noodles
