Preparation Method :

  • Put the bacon in heavy-based pan and cook until the fat runs.
  • Add the wine vinegar, cabbage and salt and pepper to taste and fry over a high heat for 3 to 4 minutes, turning mixture frequently.
  • Serve immediately.


  • 100 grams streaky bacon, derinded and finely chopped 
  • 4 tablespoons red wine vinegar 
  • 700 grams white cabbage, cored and shredded
  • Salt
  • Freshly ground pepper
