One of the quick dish can do is chicory and ham in yogurt sauce. This can be prepared by mixing yogurt, milk, and egg yolk. For your preference, you can season it with condiments. Chicory enhanced the flavour of this dish.
Serves :

Preparation Time :
20 minutes

Cooking Time :
40 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Put the chicory in a bowl and cover with boiling water. Leave to stand for 3 minutes, and then drain very thoroughly.
  • Split each head in half lengthwise to make 4 pieces, and then roll a slice of ham around each piece.
  • Place side by side in a shallow baking dish.
  • Put the yogurt, milk and egg yolk in a bowl and whisk with a fork until well mixed.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste. Pour the sauce over the ham, and then sprinkle with the cheese.
  • Bake in a preheated moderate oven for 25 minutes.
  • Serve hot, garnished with parsley. 


  • 4 heads chicory
  • 8 thin slices lean cooked ham
  • 300 ml plain low-fat yogurt
  • 8 tablespoons skimmed milk
  • 2 egg yolk
  • Salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 4 teaspoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • Chopped parsley, to garnish
