ROAST SIRLOIN OF ENGLISH BEEF BASTED WITH HONEY & MUSTARD

This roast sirloin of English Beef basted with honey and mustard is a perfect combination of meat recipe. It truly satisfies your food cravings without spending a lot of money for its preparation. Every bite simply represents its loaded and tasty ingredients.

30 minutes

Cooking Time :
1 hour 10 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Preheat the oven to Gas Mark 8/230°C/450°F.
  • Place the sirloin in a deep roasting tin and coat generously with salt, pepper, honey and mustard.
  • Cook in the centre of the oven for 25 minutes.
  • Remove the tin, pour off the liquid, and use it to baste the beef.
  • Place the beef back in the roasting tin, skin-side up.
  • Reduce the heat to Gas Mark 4/180°C/350°F.
  • Cook for 30 minutes per 450 grams, basting every 20 minutes.
  • Allow the beef to cool slightly before serving.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 kgs sirloin of beef
  • 1 tablespoon coarse salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
  • 2-3 tablespoons clear honey, warmed 
  • 2-3 teaspoons grain mustard
